Ah, Loot Crate. The “treat yo’ self” subscription box that delivers epic nerdy goodies to your doorstep every month.
With different niche boxes to suit every kind of geek and exciting new themes each month, there is always an air of mystery hovering over what that next box will include.
Whether you’re a newbie to Loot Crate and you want to know what’s in store or you’re already a fanatic of monthly deliveries who wants to see what else there is to get your hands on, we’re rounding up all of the neat Loot Crate options for you to peruse. From gaming to anime, Loot Crate has plenty of swag in April that’s worth collecting.
For most boxes, you’ll have until the 19th or 27th of any given month to get a delivery of that month’s theme. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until next month for the new theme to roll out.
The theme for April is Artifacts: ancient and mysterious objects that grant their users power to aid them on their ventures. Any geek outfitted with this month’s Loot Crate swag is sure to kick their Charisma stats up a few notches.
Here are some of our favorite boxes for the month of April:
The classic Loot Crate box covers franchises like Marvel, The Legend of Zelda, and Lord of the Rings. Think Infinity Gauntlets, Master Swords, and rings to rule them all, and you’ll have a pretty good idea of what’s gonna be in your box. The contents you’ll receive may include a Weta Workshop Lord of The Rings Frodo figure for hobbits at heart, as seen on the product page. Reddit users have uncovered hints as to what the contents will be as well, and have theorized that the monthly shirt will be Avengers: Infinity War-themed to commemorate the movie’s release on April 27.
Every LootCrate delivery comes with at least four geeky items, a shirt in your size, and awesome collectibles. Box contents typically add up to $45 or more, so getting awesome swag for more than half off doesn’t sound too shabby.
The DX version of LootCrate looks bigger and better. In April, you’ll get stuff from Dungeons & Dragons, God of War, Marvel, and Masters of the Universe. Each will include an exclusive shield replica from God of War to celebrate the game’s release April 20. On Reddit, people say it includes items like a DnD hoodie that says “I Got 99 Problems, But a Lich Ain’t One.” That’s just too good to pass up.
DX boxes typically contain 3-5 items, like apparel and collectibles, and are usually valued at $75, but you can get them for only $50 a month.
LootWear is the one-stop shop for nerdy fashion. Deck yourself out in Loot Crate exclusive clothes that represent Adventure Time, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, South Park, and Marvel. Check out the official page for more info.
April’s LootWear swag includes something for all kinds of nerds. Loot Socks ($10 per month) has exclusive socks from Adventure Time and Captain America. Loot Undies ($11) lets you decorate with South Park underwear. Loot Wearables will get you a Thanos Infinity Gauntlet long sleeve tee in time for Infinity War. Loot for Her can net you some Buffy leggings, and Loot Tees has cool Adventure Time shirts.
Some of the box subscriptions on Loot Crate do their own themes every month separate from the main boxes, and we’re definitely all for that. For instance, LootAnime’s April theme is Quirky, celebrating the most unconventional and offbeat styles that modern anime has to offer. You can get swag that represents the 2016 fantasy comedy Konosuba, 2007’s crime drama Baccano, 2017’s short comedy series Piko Taro, and 2018’s shitpost spectacle Pop Team Epic. According to HelloSubscription, recipients of the LootAnime box in April may receive a Pop Team Epic Popuko shirt that features an illustration of the character performing her infamous “Eisai Haramasukoi” dance. The box may also include a Konosuba pillow that’s decorated with chibi versions of the main characters.
You’ll get 4-6 items of anime loot worth more than $60 with every shipment. Check out the site itself to learn more.
LootGaming also has its own theme going on this month in the form of “Hunt.” Whether you’re a predator or prey, a dirty Gotham criminal or the Dark Knight, April’s Gaming crate has got you covered. Get some awesome goodies from popular games and franchises including Monster Hunter World, Farcry 5, and the Batman: Arkham series. For example, each box will include an awesome-looking Giant Jawblade replica from Monster Hunter World.
Nab 4-6 items to show off your gaming obsession.
New this month: God of War
Kratos is about to make his epic comeback on the PS4 on April 20th, and we’re already more than pumped for it. Loot Crate’s pretty excited too, which is probably why they have an exclusive God of War box from LootGaming to celebrate its release. Inside this limited edition crate, you’ll find plenty of official merchandise and apparel inspired by the upcoming game to show everyone just how hyped you are for this game to come out.
Shipments are expected to arrive in June 2018. You can order by May 31 to receive an exclusive challenge coin keychain.
